Description from the seller

Two very nice and decorative side tables / plant tables.

The tables are made of oak.

The taller table is 65 cm high and the top measures 27 cm x 27 cm. The weight is about 4 kg.

The lower table is about 46 cm high and the top is 24.5 cm x 21.5 cm. The weight of this small table is about 2 kg.

Both tables date from the 1970s or early 1980s of the last century, with the smaller table probably a bit older than the larger one (based on the screws used).

Both tables are made of oak and the style could be called Art Deco.

Both tables were probably made in the Netherlands. That could be Oisterwijk, but that isn’t certain.

Both tables are still 100% stable, noting that the top of the highest table has a few scratches, and the lower table some water stains. These signs of use are not at all troublesome (see photos).

Both little tables have light signs of use, but both still look good and are very decorative.

Very beautiful is the flame figure of the oak, especially visible in the legs of the tall table. This means that the oak is half-quarter-sawn. This is a method of cutting that yields the wood to be the strongest and to have the most beautiful grain.

The tables are both still very stable, and thus not only lovely furniture in a room but also highly functional. They can be used as plant stands or side tables, but also as pedestals (see photos).

Both tables are carefully packed and shipped with care.

Seller's Story

I sell antiques and vintage items. The pieces I find or buy are always things I personally like and that are of high quality. My expertise lies mainly in items from the 20th century.
