Yashica -635 TLR, serial SX0010571, dating to the 1950s–1960s, in very good physical condition and tested and fully functional.
Description from the seller
Yashica-635 TLR – Late SX Series (SX0010571) – Dual Format 6x6 & 35mm – With Case
Description
For sale is a superbly preserved Yashica-635, a twin-lens reflex camera (TLR) manufactured in Japan. This model comes from the desirable late production series (serial number SX0010571, about the late 1960s), renowned for its refined mechanics.
What makes the Yashica-635 special is its dual-format system: it normally uses 120 roll film for classic 6x6 medium format, but can also expose standard 35mm film with the corresponding adapter kit.
Technical data & details:
Serial number: SX0010571
Lenses: Yashikor 80mm f/3.5 (or Yashinon, please check on the lens) – clear glass, no haze evident.
Shutter: Copal-MXV with speeds from 1 second to 1/500 second, plus B mode.
Focusing: Smooth travel via the side focus dial.
Viewfinder: Bright matte finder with a fold-out magnifier for precise focusing.
Condition:
Optical: Very good overall condition with minimal, age-related signs of wear on the body (see detailed macro photos). The leatherette is intact and firmly attached.
Mechanical: The shutter triggers plausibly at all speeds by ear. The aperture blades are clean and oil-free.
Accessories: Includes the original Yashica leather-ready case (black) with carrying strap.
Note:
The camera has been optically and mechanically checked (dry test) but has not been loaded with film. A wonderful piece for collectors of analog photography gear or for lovers of medium-format photography.
