Description from the seller
a vast collection of scale models from the series "En voiture Tintin" (In the Car, Tintin!), a complete work produced by Editions Atlas between 2001 and 2006.
Here is a detailed description of the various aspects of this collection:
1. Physical Characteristics and Scale
Scale: All models are 1:43 scale, the standard measure for vintage car collecting.
Materials: The bodies are die-cast metal with plastic detailing and rotating wheels.
Presentation: Each model is housed in a rigid plexiglass display case, placed inside a distinctive blue box. At the bottom of almost every case there is a paper diorama faithfully reproducing a scene from Hergé's original comics.
Miniatures: Inside the vehicles are hand-painted figurines of Tintin, Snowy, Captain Haddock, Thomson and Thompson, and other famous characters.
Accuracy: Hergé was known for his realism; the cars in the comics (and therefore these models) are precise reproductions of real vehicles of the era, such as the Citroën 2CV, the Ford Model T, the Lincoln Torpedo, or the Willys Jeep.
