From a private collection. Two crystal butter knives on saucers. Holland, circa 1854, mark U, by van Kempen en Begeer. Octagonal model with 'ears', a cut star on the bottom (chip). On crystal under-saucers, decorated with a silver rim. With silver lid knobs instead of flowers. Height 13 cm, width 17 cm. Small chips are from the glass flaking off; see photos—this is normal for objects of this age.
