Probably elm root veneered box with inlays of various woods. On the lid a bronze handle and the interior with three compartments. Late 18th century. Including key.

Probably this box originally served as a tea caddy.

In good condition. Small damages and restorations overall. The red velvet is of a later date and the lock is functioning. See also the photos that form part of the description.

Waarschijnlijk iepenwortel gefineerd kistje met intarsia van diverse houtsoorten. Op het deksel een bronzen greep en het interieur met drie vakken. Eind 18e eeuw. Inclusief sleutel. 

Waarschijnlijk heeft deze kist van oorsprong gediend als theedoos. 

In goede staat. Kleine beschadigingen en restauraties over het geheel. Het rode velours is van later datum en het slot is werkend. Zie ook de foto’s die deel uitmaken van de omschrijving.
