Dogon plaque - Wood - Mali - 69 cm. A tall, slender object depicting a standing couple with arms raised in the Tellem manner. It is a couple side by side with a single torso for the two. The statue is heavy and ancient. The patina and the very dense wood reveal the age and quality of the piece. Very good condition. Originating from the Koundou region.
