Walking stick - Wood

An unusual and decorative object: an original antique hunting staff with a folding seat, also known as a “shooting stick”. This type was traditionally used by hunters and hikers to take a short rest while on the move.

The staff features a curved wooden grip and a metal frame that folds out into a tripod. The seat consists of a triangular piece of thick leather, attached with brass studs. In the leather there is still a (partially legible) stamp, which may indicate a manufacturer or origin.
