WMF silvered metal Rococo-style table centerpiece with an original glass dish, dating to circa 1850–1900, in excellent condition.
Description from the seller
WMF Table Centerpiece in Rococo Style – Neo-Rococo around 1900 – silver-plated – with original glass dish – splendid
An exceptionally decorative table centerpiece from the WMF house (Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik), manufactured around the turn of the century.
The piece impresses with its opulent Rococo style, finely worked figure and richly decorated base. The dynamic presentation, combined with floral ornaments and flowing forms, gives the object an impressive, almost lifelike aura.
Particularly noteworthy is the original glass dish:
Finely crafted with an elegant wave shape and delicate floral etching in Jugendstil (Art Nouveau). The glass appears softly shimmering and forms a beautiful contrast to the substantial, silver-plated base.
A classic example of WMF’s high-quality design in Historicism, where Neo-Rococo and Art Nouveau harmoniously unite.
