Rare set of 4 imposing ancient command chairs with a shaped backrest in solid walnut, featuring in the center intricately carved fretwork figures, heads at the ends, and faces with roaring expressions in the middle. Column-turned supports, shaped solid walnut frieze with carved details, resting on unusual shaped turned legs.

Unique pieces of their kind, boasting superior detail and imposing presence, very rare specimens.

In 2 chairs the upper carving is not present; they will still be supplied with some original pieces included in the offer in case the buyer wishes to restore them so that all 4 are identical.

In excellent overall condition, bearing the passage of time with normal signs of wear appropriate to the era, which however do not compromise the beauty, form, functionality, and integrity of these unique pieces.
