To protect your Damascus knives from rust, be sure to clean with a cloth & apply vegetable oil after each use. Don’t let it wet for long time. Store it oiled all the time. These knives are made from low and high carbon Damascus steel not stainless. You cannot wash them with water and put them back in the case. You need to wash them with water, dry them, THEN COAT them with vegetable oil before putting them back in the case.
