P. Ipsens Enke - Plate - Stoneware

A beautiful and authentic hand-painted Art Nouveau wall plate by P. Ipsens Enke, Copenhagen (Denmark), circa 1895–1905.

The plate features a refined naturalistic composition of blue woodland flowers and ferns, executed in delicate hand-painted detail on a warm cream-toned ground. The asymmetrical botanical arrangement is characteristic of Scandinavian Art Nouveau and reflects the refined craftsmanship for which Ipsen was known.

The use of the old spelling “Kjøbenhavn” confirms production before 1906.

Condition:
Good antique condition consistent with age. No cracks or restorations observed. Minor age-related wear to the underside and slight surface marks visible under close inspection.
