Remarkable and characterful stained glass panel, signed by Frans Heetman. This work shows an expressive profile portrait, executed with great sensitivity to line and detail. The combination of painted glass and colored structured glass gives the whole a lively and almost painterly appearance.

Frans Heetman was active as a glazier and artist in the 20th century. His work aligns with the tradition of artisanal stained glass, but with a freer and more illustrative approach that became especially popular in the mid-century. The style of this panel, with its clear contour lines and soft color transitions, points to a dating around the 1940s–1960s.

The portrait is built from curved lead lines that subtly model the face. The background consists of deep green structured glass, which breaks the light beautifully.
