Description from the seller

This is a work of high textile craftsmanship, a classic example of a luxury linen set typical of European tradition (very common in fine Italian or French productions from the early 1900s). It is made of pure linen in an ecru or natural cream color. The weave is dense and regular, a sign of high-quality yarn that offers a cool feel to the touch and great durability over time.

Lace Work: The most precious feature is the wide edge in Cantù lace (or bobbin lace of the Venice type). A very complex handiwork is evident with:
Venetian Stitch and Net Stitch: The different lace densities create a play of transparency and reliefs.
Floral Motifs and Scrolls: The lace pattern is rich in baroque and stylized floral motifs, extending inward toward the tablecloth with scalloped tips.
Embroidery and Finishing:
Solid Stitch and Grass Stitch: The body of the tablecloth features delicate hand-embroidered floral motifs that echo the lace patterns.
Openwork (Hemstitch): The connection between the lace and the linen fabric is finished with a meticulous hemstitch, serving as a decorative frame.
Carving: There are small carved inserts with eyelet finishes inside the floral embroidery.

The Napkins
The coordinated napkins echo the same style as the tablecloth:
They feature a corner lace insert identical to that of the main border.
The edges are finished with an extremely thin hand-hem, maintaining the elegance of the entire set.
