Description from the seller

Elegant portfolio or document case in old embossed and gilded leather dating from the Napoleonic III era.

This model is distinguished by its flowing shape and its rich embossed decorations with scrollwork and arabesque motifs characteristic of the Second Empire.

The interior is carefully laid out with compartments entirely lined in original moiré silk, offering a refined and functional appearance for storing documents.

The lock and key are present, in workable condition, just a small loss of leather on the top and the rear leather section will need to be reglued.
