Console table - Wood - The Hague School wall console

Elegant presumably Hague School wall console from the 1920s, executed in a powerful and recognizable Art Deco design. The piece immediately stands out due to the tight, stepped form that is characteristic of this period, in which geometry and symmetry were central.

The console is made of solid wood with a warm, deep color and a nicely visible grain. The layered, stair-stepped underside gives the piece a sculptural character and creates a special play of light and shadow on the wall.
