Sonora shortwave radio, model T-225, year 1965, tested and in working order, very good physical condition, includes an extra element, weight 1.4 kg, dimensions 27 × 17 × 6 cm.
Description from the seller
SONORA-brand TSF radio
Model: T-225
Year of production: certainly between 1965 and 1970
This semiconductors radio offering two bands, MW and LW, operates and powers on using two 4.5V batteries (3LR12) supplied but stored outside the radio (for transport/shipment). It is very well preserved, though the portable/removable handle is unfortunately missing. The rear panel is in very good condition as are the internal electrical components.
On the top face, three black knobs select the two available wave bands, and the third knob "A" allows switching to an external antenna (car antenna). Its case, the so-called “kralastic” unbreakable, is two shades of gray (dark and light).
I was able to test and confirm that the speaker works; however I did not hear any transmission on the waves (not having sufficiently good reception) and I remained on the internal antenna.
For perfect, everyday use, I recommend a thorough inspection and maintenance.
I will include with the radio two new batteries so that it powers up quickly, but I recommend that you buy more.
Fast and very careful shipping on my part so that it arrives to you without any damage during transit.
