Description from the seller
Chinese porcelain stacking boxes (set of 4) – famille rose decoration – 19th century
A charming set of four Chinese porcelain stacking boxes with lids, finely decorated in famille rose enamels.
Each circular box is adorned with delicate floral motifs in soft tones of pink, green, and turquoise. One lid features a figural scene, adding decorative interest and variation to the set. The pieces are designed to stack neatly, forming a compact cylindrical container.
These types of boxes were traditionally used for storing small items such as cosmetics, spices, or personal objects, and are appreciated today for both their functionality and decorative appeal.
The porcelain shows a smooth glaze with visible kiln marks and minor irregularities typical of antique production.
