A vintage maritime ship lantern, also known as a cargo lamp or fox light. These lamps were originally used to illuminate the cargo holds or decks of ships.

Features and Design

Materials: The lamp is made from a combination of solid copper and brass (yellow brass).

Construction: The model features a distinctive dome-shaped copper hood and a heavy brass hanging bracket. The glass plate on the underside is secured with bolts to make the lamp waterproof for use at sea.

The lamp is fitted with a new cord with plug and switch and a new LED lamp.

Een vintage maritieme scheepslamp, ook wel bekend als een cargolamp of fox light. Deze lampen werden oorspronkelijk gebruikt om de laadruimen of dekken van schepen te verlichten. 

Kenmerken en Ontwerp

Materialen: De lamp is vervaardigd uit een combinatie van massief koper en messing (geelkoper).

Constructie: Het model heeft een kenmerkende koepelvormige koperen kap en een zware messing ophangbeugel. De glazen plaat aan de onderzijde is bevestigd met bouten om de lamp waterdicht te maken voor gebruik op zee.

De lamp is voorzien van een nieuw snoer met stekker en schakelaar en een nieuwe led lamp.
