Description from the seller
PERU. Lima. 10000 Soles. 1982.
- Value: 10000 Soles.
- Year: 1982.
- Inscriptions: On the obverse, “CENTENARIO DE LA CAMPAÑA DE LA BREÑA” surrounding the bust of Andrés A. Cáceres with the dates 1882–1982; on the reverse, the national coat of arms of Peru surrounded by the legend “BANCO CENTRAL DE RESERVA DEL PERÚ” and the face value.
- Grade: MS63 (PCGS).
Commemorative coin issued by the Central Reserve Bank of Peru to mark the centenary of the Breña Campaign, one of the most notable episodes of the War of the Pacific, led by General Andrés A. Cáceres. The obverse presents a detailed and forceful portrait of the Peruvian military leader, with excellent definition in the facial features and the uniform, while the reverse shows the finely worked national coat of arms, flanked by laurel and palm branches. The specimen retains an attractive original luster, with well-preserved fields and sharp reliefs, showing only minor marks typical of MS63 grade, making it a solid piece and highly representative of contemporary Peruvian commemorative numismatics.
Disclaimer: For orders shipped outside the European Union, I want to leave absolutely clear that I do ship from Spain, which means that if the package is sent to any country outside the European Union, and/or inside EU that has a special tax agreement (example: Canary Islands), it might be stopped in your local customs and they might ask you to pay taxes. This is a customs legal procedure and it is completely out of our control. Thanks for your understanding.
