Description from the seller

Large reliquary cabinet from the late 19th century in gilded bronze, finely crafted. The reliquary is of notable importance, rich in details and decorations formed by stones, beads, and gilded fittings inside. In the two oval medallions one can observe the reliquary fragments of the twelve apostles, and below, the relics of the wood of the Cross of Christ. On the rear, a very fine oval painting, probably copper, of an Ecce Homo. It is worth noting the beauty and rarity of the artifact in excellent condition as listed in the photos themselves; it does not show damage to the back nor to the silk elements, and the seal is enclosed in a small housing with a metal door on the back. Provenance: religious collection, carefully preserved over the years. Overall dimensions: 25 × 15 × 2.5 cm. The reliquary contains no sign of human remains.
