Antique Nightstand in Napoleon III Style with Inlays and Gilded Bronzes

Elegant antique nightstand in Napoleon III style, dating from the mid-19th century, finely veneered and enriched with refined floral inlays and ornamental motifs in contrasting wood veneers.

The shaped upper top is decorated with rich central marquetry depicting a vase and vegetal scrolls, framed by undulating panels and fillets that enhance its elegance. The slightly curved front consists of three drawers, also inlaid with stylized floral motifs and enriched with mounts in gilded bronze and finely chiseled handles.

The shaped supports and splayed legs are enhanced by prominent applied gilded bronze elements, also present on the terminal sabot feet, which confer dynamism and preciousness to the whole. The shaped plinth completes the sinuous line typical of the French taste of the Second Empire.

A piece of great refinement and proportion, ideal as a nightstand, coffee table, or decorative element for classic and elegant interiors.
