Description from the seller
Qing Kangxi blue-and-white export dish with cinnabar-red painted flowers and birds, Imari style, diameter 23 cm
Text:
A Jingdezhen kilns export porcelain from the Qing Kangxi period, an Imari-style blue-and-cinnabar-red painted floral-and-bird pattern dish, diameter 23 cm, classic among Qing dynasty export wares.
The center of the dish features flowers, birds, bamboo and rocks; the blue underglaze is pure, with cinnabar-red painted gold accents; the colors are bright and the painting is lively, a typical Kangxi export porcelain decorative style. The body and glaze are solid, the glaze surface is gentle and lustrous, the foot rim is well finished with a natural patina from age.
There is a seam line on the outer side of the base, which does not affect overall display; suitable as a specimen for study or vintage decoration, a representative piece of Qing dynasty export porcelain.
