Description from the seller
Elegant 37-piece Art Deco-style solid silverware set in metal, crafted by French silversmith André Blanchet. This ensemble features a sober, architectural design, with a 'triple beading' motif ending in a geometric stepped pattern at the base of the handle, emblematic of the 1930s period.
The set includes:
• 12 Place forks (Grammage hallmark: 84 g)
• 12 Place spoons (Grammage hallmark: 84 g)
• 12 Tea/Dessert spoons (Grammage hallmark: 18 g)
• 1 Large ladle (Grammage hallmark: 10 g)
Technical details:
• Silversmith: André Blanchet (Swallow hallmark).
• Material: High-quality sterling silver plate.
• Style: Pure Art Deco.
• Era: First half of the 20th century (France).
Condition:
The set is in very good used condition. There are minor wear marks consistent with age, preserving a very nice shine.
• Specific note: The ladle has a light scratch near the location of the silversmith’s hallmark.
• Case: Supplied in its original fitted box. The box is in fair ("vintage") condition with some wear to the exterior coating. One of the closure fittings is partially detached (a mounting nail is missing), but remains functional.
