Napoleon III era wall clock in ebony wood with nacre inlay marquetry, a mechanical Franche-Comté movement with 2 barrels and a 1-day power reserve, an eye‑of‑the‑beast dial in onyx/alabaster with roman numerals, winding key included, circa 1850–1900, 58 cm high, 50 cm wide, 15 cm deep, France origin, in excellent condition and fully functional.

Superb French wall clock in Napoléon III style, in very good overall condition.
Features :
• Ebonized wood case with serpentine contour
• Rich intact mother-of-pearl marquetry – floral and star motifs
• Decorative gold-plated brass strips
• Onyx/alabaster dial with enamelled Roman numeral cartouches
• Openwork steel hands in Gothic style
• Original convex glass in good condition
• Original mechanical Comtoise movement (Franche-Comté), 2 barrels
• Timekeeping and striking functions working
• Winding key included
Nacre complete, without flaws. Movement in working order, not recently serviced.
Decorative piece of character, ideal for a Second Empire furniture enthusiast.
