Subject and Theme:
"ICONIC BAR V.1" is a witty and powerful work that stages an imaginary encounter between three legendary figures of art and show business: Marilyn Monroe, the Mona Lisa, and The Girl with the Pearl Earring.
Seated at the bar counter, among colorful drinks and lit cigarettes, the three icons appear relaxed and human, almost complicit in a time-out of sorts.

In the background, a visual provocation: the word ICONIC., crossed by a bright red neon, runs like paint, while below the caption reads GIN TONIC.
A wordplay and meanings game that overturns the concept of icon, reducing it (or perhaps elevating it?) to a daily gesture, to a shared toast.

Technique and Creation:
The work combines artist prints on a rigid support with a red LED neon that highlights and transforms the word “ICONIC.” into a sharp sign.
The scene is built like a cinematic painting, with soft light and warm tones that create an atmosphere of a nighttime bar.
The contrast between the subjects’ elegance and the moment’s simplicity generates a strong and memorable visual impact.

Inspiration and Curiosity:
"ICONIC BAR V.1" reflects on the overuse of the word “iconic” in contemporary language, now emptied and inflated.
Erasing it with a red neon and replacing it with “Gin Tonic” is a form of liberation: icons come down from their pedestal, becoming real, accessible, even ironic.
It is a invitation to celebrate lightness, to rediscover the human side even in myths, to rewrite the history of art with a pop and subversive touch.
