Description from the seller
GICLEE PRINT ON PREMIUM MUSEUM-GRADE PAPER 50 X 70 CM IN A LIMITED EDITION OF ONLY 5 COPIES.
This unique piece masterfully fuses the aesthetics of Socialist Realism with the Star Wars universe. The work is a parody of Viktor Govorkov's famous 1954 anti-alcohol poster.
In place of the original worker, we find an Empire Stormtrooper who, with a firm gesture of the hand, rejects a coin or a symbol of the Rebellion offered clandestinely beneath a plate of meat and vegetables. The contrast between the tactile painting technique (with thick and decisive brushstrokes) and the sci-fi iconography creates a satirical commentary on political loyalty and propaganda.
Production method: Development of a preliminary visual-architecture framework through AI generative models to define composition, tonal values, and color schemes, followed by a meticulous manual digital painting intervention aimed at perfecting anatomy, integrating customized textures, and imprinting the artist's distinctive stylistic imprint.
The Collective: SSICK LAB We are a collective of young Italian artists, about 24 years old, born and raised with a visceral passion for art and pop culture. SSICK LAB started as a creative laboratory where we experiment with the fusion between iconic aesthetics of contemporary media and historical visual languages. Our mission is to explore new expressive frontiers, placing technological innovation at the service of pure creativity.
Description of paper: Paper finish: Matte, smooth, non-reflective surface.
Paper weight: 200 g/mq (80 lb), durable and lasting over time.
Environmental impact: FSC-certified paper or equivalent, in compliance with sustainable practices.
