Description from the seller

Beautiful dalmatic in bright colors. The dalmatic is the liturgical garment of the deacon in the Latin Church.

Dalmatia
The word dalmatic (Latin: dalmatica) is derived from Dalmatia, a region in present-day Croatia. Dalmatians were generally worn only by male members of the upper classes.
With the emergence of liturgical colors in the 11th century, the standard white of the dalmatic was expanded with black (for funerals), purple (for Advent and Lent), red (for martyrs and feasts of the Holy Spirit), and green (the time of year). The white, yellow, or gold dalmatic is worn on feasts.

The form of the dalmatic has changed over the centuries. While the profane dalmatic was a long garment reaching well past the knees, the liturgical dalmatic became shorter over time, in both the body and the sleeves. In some types the sides are cut open, probably to facilitate performing liturgical actions.
The lot is carefully packaged and sent by registered mail. Photos complete this description.
