This is a hand-knotted Oriental rug, made from durable, natural materials. The method of knotting and the diversity of patterns make this rug unique and emphasize its authentic and artisanal character.
It concerns an excellent used rug with an extremely long lifespan.
This is a lightly used, cleaned rug that can be laid down as is. This beautiful Tibetan rug is hand-knotted with the finest, undyed wool sourced from sheep in the high Tibetan region. This wool is naturally extra greasy due to the cold temperatures (it acts as an insulator for the sheep). When this wool is used in rugs it not only provides a beautiful, extra sheen but also serves as a natural protective layer. Higher-quality wool is (almost) not available. Natural variation in color is visible, because the wool is NOT bleached before the first dye bath. This gives the rug an authentic appearance and contributes to the character of this rug that is full of stories.
