Description from the seller

Vintage Ernemann boxcamera with pneumatic release – ca. 1910–1925

Description:
Offered: an authentic early box camera from the German brand Ernemann, produced before the formation of Zeiss Ikon (1926).

This classic camera is a fine example of the simple yet robust amateur photography of the early 20th century. The design is characteristic: a rectangular box with leather covering, two view openings for portrait and landscape use, and a simple lens with a mechanical shutter.

What makes this specimen special is the available pneumatic release (bulb release), with which the shutter could be operated remotely — a nice and decorative detail that has not always been preserved.
