Ettore Sottsass, Olivetti Studio 45, Rare portable typewriter produced by Olivetti. In 1967 Olivetti replaces the semi-standard Studio 44 with the new Studio 45. Technical improvements and a new design with less rounded lines. The early versions are recognizable by the inscription “Olivetti Studio 45” on the carriage, later the inscription moves to the front of the body. Plastic case that makes transport even easier. Produced starting from 1967.
Designer: Designed by Ettore Sottsass Jr. with the collaboration of Hans von Klier.
Materials: Made of ABS plastic.
Produced in Italy in Ivrea, first series. In the auction it is a first series, preserved and produced in Italy. It functions correctly and is accompanied by its original case. Dimensions 12× 32.6 × 34 cm, weight of the machine 5.4 kg. Weight of the case 2 kg (case dimensions: 40cm x40cm x15cm) for a total of 7.4 kg
