Beautiful set of three decorative Japanese plates from the Meiji period (ca. 1890-1910), made of fine white porcelain and hand-painted in underglaze cobalt blue.

Details per plate:

Large Landscape Plate: Classic Japanese river landscape with pagodas and mountains.
Dimensions: diameter 22.1 cm, height 3.4 cm, weight 506 g

There is a hairline crack near the tree of about 0.5 mm; it appears to have occurred during firing, please study the photos.

Prunus Plate: Motif of 'Prunus on ice', with scalloped edge and floral back.
