Description from the seller
My pieces are designed to be companions rather than possessions. I give my objects organic, animated characteristics, hoping that people grow attached to them as to pets.
Vincent Decat is an artist-designer based in Paris, a graduate of the Design Academy Eindhoven, who explores the boundaries between design and sculpture. He envisions an object's durability not only through its materials but above all through the emotional bond it evokes. By making his objects almost alive, they become companions that must be cared for, kept, and cherished.
The Anémone lamp is designed to embody the diffuse glow and the perpetual motion of sea anemones. Inspired by the natural beauty of the underwater world, it seeks to freeze in a sculptural form the graceful movements of this marine creature.
Technical details:
Functioning on a 220–230 V supply with Type E plug.
Dimming integrated into the lamp.
