Silver, Art Nouveau Korenaar - Brooch

Beautiful silver 1890 - 1910 Art Nouveau brooch in the shape of an 'Ear of Corn.' Simply stylized but, by its simplicity, special! Marked: 800. NB. An ear of corn is the top, fertile part of a grain stalk (stem) that contains the grain kernels, such as wheat, rye or barley. It symbolizes fertility, the harvest, and in a Christian sense hope, the Eucharist, or life after death.

Very good condition - a little used with small signs of wear.
