Massimo Scheurer
Michele Tadini
The drawings of Aldo Rossi " Chère architecture"
Paolo Portoghesi
This delightful volume gathers over two hundred of the most recent drawings, largely unpublished, by Rossi, created between 1991 and his tragic death in 1997. From reflections on Casa Alessi (1989-94) to the most ambitious projects for the Walt Disney Corporation (1996), each drawing conveys the individuality and idiosyncrasy of a master at work. It is far too easy to describe these personal and exuberant images as works of art, because they are much more: documents, recordings, visions and illuminations of a master at work. 226 illustrations, 191 in color.
Portoghesi P., AA.VV.; Aldo Rossi dessins 1990-1997. Paperback with dust jacket, 16 x 24 cm, 192 pages, language French. Milan, Federico Motta and Acte Sud, 1999.
The volume is presented in overall excellent condition. Cover with slight signs of use. Paperback binding well secured. Interior pages clean without creases or stains. Excellent copy for collectors.
