"Moorish, traditional costume", a very beautiful portrait from the late nineteenth century (Algeria), by C. Albert.

Excellent preservation of contrasts, grayscale nuances and levels of detail.

Charles Albert was a photographer and publisher active between Paris, Tunis and Algiers at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th. Based in Tunis, on Rue Al-Djazira, and later also present in Algiers (Place de Chartres then Rue Rochambeau), he disseminated views, monuments, archaeological sites and “types” of Tunisia and Algeria, in a vein that is both documentary, commercial and Orientalist.

It will be shipped with its sleeve and its cardboard backing at neutral pH (ideal for a collection in good condition).
