"Constantine - Campement des Béni Ramasses", a very beautiful lively view from the end of the nineteenth century (Algeria), by the Neurdein brothers.
Very fine albumen print, large format, from the period, in very good condition, mounted on a cardboard backing.
Excellent preservation of contrasts, gray tones, and detail levels.
Labeled and signed in the negative.

The Frères Neurdein (Étienne and Antonin Neurdein) were French photographers and publishers active at the end of the 19th century. Based in Paris, they founded in the 1860s a substantial photographic studio that quickly became one of the major publishers of travel and documentary images. The Neurdins produced and distributed numerous photographs of monuments, cities and landscapes, in France as well as abroad, notably in Egypt, in North Africa and the Near East.

Will be shipped with its sleeve and its neutral-pH cardboard backing (ideal for a collection in good condition).
