Description from the seller
Two hand-cut crystal decanters (right possibly Baccarat) – Netherlands, France, ca. 1880–1900
An elegant pair of two crystal decanters, made from hand-cut crystal, dating from circa 1880–1900 and originating from the Netherlands and France. These decanters are distinguished by their very high-quality cutting and classic, timeless design.
Both pieces are richly adorned with deeply cut geometric patterns and facets, which beautifully break the light and create a lively play of sparkle and reflection. The precision of the cutting and the balanced proportions testify to craftsmanship from the late 19th century.
Such decanters were part of refined table culture and were used for serving wine, liqueurs, or spirits. As a pair they form a particularly decorative whole that is both functional and aesthetically appealing.
An attractive and collectible duo within the world of antique crystal and glassware.
