Description from the seller
Ceramic Birdhouse
"This series of birdhouses was born from a desire to change approach, to step out of my usual typologies to explore a more free, more decorative object. I wanted to work with a more instinctive drawing, applying to a new shape the materials and textures I love: I worked the red stoneware to play with the oxidation and reduction that glaze creates on the surface, by playing with aligned brush strokes and creating a relief between shine and matte. A project set apart, more intuitive, born from a need to play, to experiment; far from daily function, but always in the gesture."
Materials: Glazed stoneware
About Lucas Huillet:
Formed at the Camondo School in design and interior architecture. This academic path opened doors to collaborations with prestigious houses and institutions. In 2018, he founded his studio as a space of exploration where ceramics, interior architecture and object design intersect around an expertise in working with natural materials, allowing the creation of unique pieces that are both everyday objects and works in their own right. Today, the studio continues to combine traditional craft and contemporary innovation, with the aim of creating objects that carry meaning and authenticity.
Lucas Huillet’s creations have been exhibited notably at Paris Design Week, Collectible in Brussels, or Dubai Al Shindagha Museum.
