Carlo Crivelli, a monograph by Pietro Zampetti, published by Nardini Editore in 1997 (first reprint of the 1986 edition) in Italian, in a cloth-bound hardcover with illustrated dust jacket, 336 pages, richly illustrated.
Description from the seller
Complete monograph dedicated to the work of Carlo Crivelli, edited by Pietro Zampetti, one of the leading scholars of the Venetian painter active between Veneto and Marche in the fifteenth century.
The volume, published by Nardini Editore, is presented in the first reprint of 1997 and fully reproduces the structure and contents of the first edition of 1986.
The work is characterized by a very rich iconographic apparatus: color and black-and-white plates, many full-page, documenting polyptychs, predellas, architectural details, sacred scenes, and works kept in Italian and international museums. The images display Crivelli’s typical refinement: complex architectural perspectives, meticulous decorations, intense chromatics and material details.
The volume is bound in publisher’s cloth with a illustrated dust jacket, which reproduces one of the master’s famous works. The inner printing is sharp, with excellent color fidelity.
A fundamental work for the study of the Adriatic Renaissance, of Marche painting of the XV century, and Crivelli’s mature production.
