Vallauris - Coffee service - Earthenware - A vintage coffee set

This auction is for a fabulous and unusual coffee set for 6 people. It was made by Vallauris factory in the south of France in the 1950s or 60s. This vintage fat lava style depicts the ocean. This example is a pearlescent black base with pink frothy Mediteranean design.

It includes a coffee pot and lid, a sugar pot, a milk jug and 6 cups and saucers.

As visible on the photographs it is in excellent condition, and has the Vallauris stamps underneath. On close inspection I found one scuff to a saucer which is shown in the photographs, and hardly visible. of the base.

The coffee pot is 27cm tall, and th cup are 8cm in diameter.
