Description from the seller

18th Century French Provincial Console Table – Louis XV Style – Solid Wood – Circa 1750–1800

Description (EN):
Elegant antique console table in Louis XV style, crafted in solid wood and dating from the period circa 1750–1800.

This piece reflects the refined aesthetics of the Louis XV period, with its graceful cabriole legs, curved apron, and hand-carved floral decoration. The flowing lines and naturalistic ornamentation are characteristic of French Rococo design.

The table shows a rich patina developed over time, with visible wood grain and traditional hand-crafted details. The construction and overall form suggest a French provincial origin, typical for pieces of this period.

The surface presents signs of age, including wear, minor scratches, and a natural split in the top panel, all consistent with its antique character.

Please note: a small restoration has been carried out on the rear side, done discreetly and not affecting the overall appearance or structural stability of the piece.

Condition:
Good antique condition considering age (approx. 250+ years).
• Natural wear and patina
• Age-related cracks on the top
• Minor restoration on the rear side
• Structurally stable

Material:
Solid wood (likely oak or fruitwood)

Period:
18th century (circa 1750–1800)

Origin:
France (provincial work)
