Description from the seller
Elegant Empire-style ceiling lamp in golden bronze and crystal – early 20th century
Sophisticated classic-inspired pendant lamp, made in golden bronze with a lower tulip formed by multiple faceted crystal beads assembled in a basket shape. The piece stands out for its refined upper structure, with neoclassical-inspired decorative elements (garlands, vegetal motifs and imperial shapes) that evoke French Empire period style.
The crystal diffuser, composed of rows of cut prisms, creates a bright and elegant luminous effect when the lamp is on, projecting a warm and enveloping light. This type of design was highly valued in interiors distinguished for its ability to add luxury without excessive ostentation.
Era:
Probably early 20th century (1900–1910), faithfully following classical 19th-century Empire/Louis XVI revival models.
Materials:
Bronze or gilded brass frame
Faceted crystal (bead/prism type)
Key features:
Timeless, elegant design
Excellent decorative quality
Strong lighting effect
Ideal for living rooms, reception areas, or classical dining rooms
Condition:
Good overall condition, with patina appropriate for age. May show slight signs of use on the metal, and the electrical system may require inspection according to current regulations.
A piece with a great decorative presence, perfect for enthusiasts of European classical style and vintage lighting collectors.
