Description:
Original early 20th century swivel office chair, dating to circa 1925, bearing a “Standard” registered mark (“Marque déposée”), indicating production for the French-speaking market (France or Belgium).
The chair is crafted from solid oak and features a classic slatted backrest, shaped seat, and armrests. It stands on a four-legged wooden base with an original metal swivel mechanism, characteristic of early office furniture from the interwar period.
The wood displays a rich natural grain and a beautiful aged patina, consistent with its age. The construction is solid and stable, and the rotating mechanism remains functional.
