Haig’s Decanter – Silver 925 (Sterling)
The item for auction is a collectible Haig’s decanter with a distinctive, three-sided shape (the so-called dimple bottle), mounted in an ornate mount made of 925 sterling silver.
A silver collar with rich plant motifs (roses) rendered in openwork and engraving.
The item shows obvious signs of use and the passage of time that should be noted:
Silver neck: Numerous small dents visible on the metal neck guard.
Markings: The white inscription "HAIG'S" on the glass shows slight wear.
Cork: The natural cork is dirty/darkened and shows signs of cracking with age.
Hardware: Silver coated with natural patina, with some minor scratches and slight deformations of the openwork elements.
