Description from the seller
Eero Saarinen for Knoll International – Tulip dining table – ca. 1970
Iconic round Tulip dining table designed by Eero Saarinen for Knoll International, dating from circa 1970. This timeless design is worldwide considered one of the most influential and recognizable pieces within modernism.
The table is characterized by the characteristic tulip-shaped pedestal in white lacquered aluminium, combined with a round top that creates a harmonious and minimalist appearance. Saarinen designed this table with the aim of eliminating “visual clutter,” resulting in an elegant and balanced whole.
Dimensions:
Diameter: approx. 137 cm
Height: approx. 72 cm
Condition:
In good vintage condition with signs of use appropriate for age and use. At the edges of the top there were some small chips, which were professionally restored. These restorations are done subtly and are hardly visible in daily use, but are disclosed for transparency. We refer you to the photos of the tabletop. There is a reflection of ceiling lighting visible in the photos. The top has a nice calm pattern and is in good condition.
The table bears Knoll International markings and forms an authentic example of high-quality production from the 70s.
A timeless design object that effortlessly fits in both modern and classic interiors. The table can be perfectly paired with Saarinen Tulip chairs (not included, but potentially available separately, see my other listings).
A new version of this model nowadays has a retail value of approximately €8,000.
