Louis-Philippe style 'book' gaming table, a transformable piece of furniture widely used in the 19th century to save space in parlors of the era. The upper top must be rotated 90 degrees relative to the base. Once rotated, the top opens 'like a book' thanks to original internal hinges. Inside you will find compartments to store cards or counters and a playing surface covered in green baize or felt, ideal for preventing cards or dice from slipping. Being an antique item, it shows some signs of age, but overall it is still in good condition.
