This Marantz CD-5005 is new despite the absence of the original packaging and the user manual (lost during a move); however, the photos clearly show a CD player that is aesthetically impeccable, and its operation is perfect. It has been tested for sale. It is truly a music-focused player, with excellent sound, good dynamics, a very good midrange, detailed highs without aggression, and bass that is present but just right.
The robust and meticulous design on a heavy chassis provides stability, and thanks to this excellent mechanism and the gold-plated RCA connectors, it delivers optimal playback.
This Marantz CD-5005 was awarded the Diapason d'Or 2015 by the press.
