Stylized bronze idol statuette
Stylized bronze figure depicting a man dressed in a loincloth, wearing a conical headdress. His arms are drawn back to the body, the left hand placed on the chest.
The leg-like shapes are straight, the feet resting on a pedestal
Eastern Mediterranean basin, probably Cyprus, ca. 2800-1500 BCE.
Set off by a black base
Dimensions: height 9.3 cm (height 11.3 cm with the base)
Excellent condition - no restoration
Provenance: Netherlands, D.Z.N. gallery.
Previous provenance: Netherlands, Amsterdam, Ancient Art, 1988
