Tsar Alexander III Alexandrovich Romanov (Александр III Александрович 1845-1894) – Emperor of Russia from 1881 to 1894, King of Poland from 1881 to 1894, Grand Duke of Finland from 1881 to 1894; son of Tsar Alexander II of the Romanov dynasty and his wife Maria Alexandrovna, born as Maximiliana Wilhelmina Maria of Hesse-Darmstadt, Germany. Wife: Empress of Russia Maria Feodorovna Romanova (Maria Sophia Fredericka Dagmar Glücksburg), a princess of Denmark who was the daughter of King Christian IX of Denmark.
