Mehano ice set in H0 scale, catalog number T689, in original packaging and offered as hobbyist/restoration subject with defects but demonstrably functional via analogue or digital control.
Description from the seller
Nice MEHANO ICE set, but in defective condition. The function has been checked (see photos on the test track). The powered car runs fairly well, but the pickup shoe should be checked to ensure it sits correctly. The powered car has crash damage. Parts of the damaged coupler are missing, the front windscreen is missing, and a screw from the underframe has sheared off (see photos). Probably one or two more small parts are missing. A wagon is also slightly damaged at the bogie. Further damage cannot be ruled out. The powered car apparently has been modified to operate, presumably under overhead lines. For this, a cable was drawn to a wagon that has a pantograph. The cable has been cut (see photo). On one wagon, a small insulator is missing from the roof, and the springs have partly fallen out of the couplings. A few individual parts were included in a bag. Despite the numerous defects, the technical function is present. The ICE driving car can be operated analog or digital with address 03. The lights can be controlled digitally via the function buttons and analog via the knob. The control car has only one red tail light which is always on in digital operation and lights up in analogue when power is applied. Due to the various flaws, the set is offered as craft/DIY merchandise. The ICE still has considerable potential as an add-on/expansion set, spare-parts carrier, or restoration project. See for yourself the quality in the many photos.
